Universal Products – Two-Year Global Vehicle Warranty
This document is a professionally revised version of the warranty supplied by Universal Products. Language, structure, headings, and clarity have been corrected while retaining the original intent.
1. Introduction
Your Universal Products replica vehicle is covered under the Universal Products Two-Year Global Vehicle Warranty (“the Warranty”). This Warranty applies to all new vehicles manufactured and sold by Universal Products. It covers defects caused directly by faulty components, defective materials, or negligent workmanship identified within 12,000 miles / 19,500 km or two (2) years from the date of delivery, whichever occurs first.
Where a defect is confirmed, Universal Products will, at its discretion, repair or replace the faulty component free of charge (excluding fuel costs). For vehicles fully assembled by the Universal Products factory, labour for authorised warranty repairs will also be provided at no cost, but only when performed by an Authorised Universal Products Dealer.
2. Reporting a Defect
In the event that a fault arises, you must notify an Authorised Universal Products Dealer immediately. Any preliminary operating instructions or safety advice provided by Universal Products or its dealers must be strictly followed until the vehicle is repaired. The vehicle may not be operated in any manner that could worsen the defect or create further damage.
Any component replaced or repaired under this Warranty will remain covered for the unexpired portion of the original two-year warranty period. This Warranty does not affect your statutory rights.
3. Making a Warranty Claim (Factory-Built Vehicles)
To initiate a claim, contact an Authorised Universal Products Dealer. The dealer will provide instructions for presenting your vehicle and will manage the claim directly with the Universal Products Warranty Department.
4. Vehicles Located More Than 100 km From an Authorised Dealer
If the vehicle is located more than 100 km (straight-line distance) from the nearest Authorised Dealer, Universal Products may permit warranty repairs to be carried out by a third-party repairer, subject to the following conditions:
- Only Universal Products Standard Warranty Labour Hours and Labour Rates will be authorized and paid.
- Universal Products and its Authorised Dealers will not be responsible for the quality or outcome of any repairs performed by third-party repairers.
- All warranty claims require prior written approval from Universal Products.
- Only Authorized Dealers may submit official warranty claims on behalf of customers.
- If approved, repairs must be performed by a tax-registered repair facility (equivalent to a UK VAT-registered garage).
- Photographic evidence of the defective part, vehicle, registration, and VIN must be provided.
- All warranty parts must be returned to the supplying dealer or Universal Products in clean and properly packaged condition.
- All parts must be clearly labelled with the Warranty Claim Reference and VIN details.
- Return shipping costs for warranty parts are the responsibility of the customer or dealer.
- The cost of warranty parts provided remains the responsibility of the Authorised Dealer until the claim is fully processed.
- Claims resulting from poor workmanship by a third-party repairer will not be covered.
- Universal Products reserves the right to require that any repair be performed by an Authorized Dealer.
- No costs other than those explicitly approved in writing will be accepted.
- Transport cost claims will only be considered when the vehicle is taken to the nearest Authorised Dealer.
